Advocacy
On May 14, The League hosted a Financial Institutions Against Human Trafficking (F.I.G.H.T.) Roundtable, uniting leaders from financial institutions, law enforcement, and advocacy groups to strengthen efforts to detect and prevent human trafficking. Samantha Beeler emphasized the industry’s vital role in identifying suspicious activity and supporting survivors with inclusive financial services. The event underscored the need for continued cross-sector collaboration, which will be further explored at ENGAGE in Orlando, June 10–13.

Compliance
Effective July 1, changes to Regulation CC require updated funds availability and check-processing procedures. Credit unions must ensure their policies and disclosures are fully aligned with the revised requirements. Please review your procedures now to avoid compliance issues as the deadline approaches.

Foundation
The Credit Union Impact Foundation has opened the application portal for the Growth and Impact Grant Program. This program includes three distinct grant opportunities: the Community Impact Grant Program, powered by Vizo Financial, and the Credit Union Development Grant Program and Professional Development Grant Program.
