FiCEP Certification
Credit unions with certified financial counselors gain a clear edge in demonstrating the unique value of credit unions, broadening their products and services, and drawing in new members.
Program Benefits
Credit unions with certified financial counselors gain a clear edge in demonstrating the unique value of credit unions, broadening their products and services, and drawing in new members. The Enhanced FiCEP program is specifically designed for credit union staff involved in financial counseling, collections, loan services, and other roles that assist members in improving their financial well-being. This program empowers staff with the expertise to guide members in enhancing their budgeting, savings, debt management, and long-term financial planning.
Each participant should anticipate spending an average of 30 minutes reading each chapter and 60 minutes in weekly webinars. Additional time is needed for practice quizzes and exam preparation. The program culminates in a 100-question proctored exam, which may take up to two hours to complete and is required to earn the Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation.
Registration Deadline is May 8, 2025
The Enhanced Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) runs from June 5 to September 18, 2025, with biweekly webinars.
