Credit Union House

Creating a permanent home for the Commonwelth’s credit unions in Richmond.

The vision for the Credit Union House of Virginia began more than two decades ago with a bold idea: to create a permanent home for the Commonwealth’s credit unions in Richmond. That vision became a reality when the journey to build the House officially began in 2012, leading to its grand opening in 2015. Today, the Credit Union House of Virginia stands as a physical symbol of the credit union movement’s commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and service.

Located in the heart of Richmond, the House helps advance the advocacy mission of Virginia’s credit unions across the legislative, regulatory, and public arenas. It provides a welcoming space to connect with lawmakers, regulators, industry partners, and credit union leaders while elevating the voice of credit unions throughout the Commonwealth.

More than a building, the Credit Union House of Virginia reflects the “People Helping People” philosophy that defines the credit union movement. It showcases the strength, diversity, and impact of Virginia’s credit unions and serves as a gathering place for strategic partnerships, meaningful conversations, and continued progress on behalf of credit union members and communities across the state.
