Small Credit Union Resources

Small credit unions are faced with a variety of challenges in today’s competitive marketplace. The Small Credit Union program is designed to facilitate growth and provide solutions to the unique challenges faced by credit unions $150 million in assets and under.

The League strives to provide the best possible experience to credit unions, with an emphasis on supporting credit unions under $150 million in assets:

  • Consultant Program: Key team members are assigned to serve as a consultant for each credit union, serving as the first point of contact for any needs. Credit unions will receive at least two in-person visits from their consultant each year.
  • Annual Member Satisfaction Survey
  • League/America’s Credit Unions Collaboration
  • Micro-Communities Support, including the online Small Credit Union Community

Small Credit Union Progress Fund

The funding for the Progress Fund is provided by the Southeastern Credit Union Foundation (SECUF) and is available to all affiliated credit unions with $150 million in assets or less. SECUF has created an account in your credit union’s name in the amount of $1,000 to use toward the purchase of any League, LEVERAGE, or America’s Credit Unions product, event and/or service, including:

Please note that any invoices should be paid directly by the credit union and then reimbursed to the credit union through the SECUF. Member Engagement staff will assist with reimbursements and keep track of expenditures from your account. Unused funds in your account cannot be rolled over or transferred to other credit unions.
